As a Senior Software Engineer on the Walmart Commerce Technologies team you will have the opportunity to work on commercializing mature enterprise systems and enabling them for retailers
You will build a new SaaS product and ensure engineering excellence. As an experienced engineer you will have the chance to influence technical strategy for this new product and mentor more junior engineers
This is a great opportunity for career development! What you'll do: Leverage your craft to build clear and easy to use front-end interfaces for our customers. Contribute to the full software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, testing and documentation. Write clean, maintainable code and develop new features and components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build and improve the product. Provide guidance and leadership to junior engineers on the team and promote best practices across the team. Ensure software systems are reliable, scalable and high-performing while troubleshooting issues when they arise. What you'll bring: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience. 6+ years of experience in software engineering. Expertise in working with front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS or React Native. Experience in creating and/or consuming RESTful web services or GraphQL interfaces. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Experience working with unit testing & Test-Driven Development (TDD). Strong communications and collaboration skills.
