Main Objective:
Participate and assist in designing compelling user experiences through interactions and visual designs for marketing, sales support, and Medical Education applications and others within the responsibility of the Marketing Department. This role will create features from concept to design comp and then see them through the development process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in design and creation of user experience architecture diagrams (site maps, task flows) and wireframes.
- Assists in designing user interfaces for desktop, web and mobile applications.
- Assists in design workshops and give presentations to lead the design vision, align design principles, demonstrate features, flows, and prototypes.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to efficiently implement user experiences that are cohesive, comprehensive and well-informed.
- Ensure front-end performance of UX Designs are optimized.
- Ensures that all concept explorations are supported with rich insights, scenarios, and key value propositions and benefits for users and Arthrex.
- Helps define user stories with product owners and develop user-centered designs to build best-in-class products and user experiences.
- Helps maintain and evolve the Arthrex Design System to scale reusable UX Design components and live code repositories.
- Participates in research and design sessions with customers, internal users and key stakeholders.
- Works with software development teams to ensure that handoff of designs is “developer friendly” which improves implementation time and meets developer requirements.

May coach and review the work of lower-level professionals.
Knowledge:
Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards for UX design. Full knowledge of industry practices.
Problem Solving:
Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.
Discretion/Latitude:
Work is performed under general direction. Participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Impact:
Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization. May be responsible for large size projects.
Liaison:
Represents organization as a prime contact on projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
4 years of relevant industry experience required
Experience with software development, human factors, agile/scrum, design systems required.
Experience in an FDA-regulated company preferred

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
• Knowledge and understanding of marketing creative processes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills required to interact with staff, colleagues, management and internal customers.
• Knowledge of Figma, Sketch, Principle for Mac, Axure, Figjam, Lucidchart, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Customer Experience concepts (VoC, Journey Map, Metrics, etc).
• Attention to details to include ability to follow written and verbal directions and error free written communication.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities, tasks and coordinate various channels of communication at the same time.
• UX testing experience and knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of customer experience concepts preferred.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
• Proficiency in Macintosh and PC platform preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
