Assignment Start Date: 10/30/2024
Shift: Once trained, this person will slot into a graveyard shift opening with a consistent schedule of 7 days on/7 days off. non-exempt, full-time, benefitted position
Anticipated schedule patterns: Orientation to the position will be 0800-1630, Mondays-Fridays
Starting pay range: $29.70-39/hour OR $61,776.00 to $81,286.40 DOE and certifications.
A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for permanent, full-time hires, with a 2-year service agreement.

You are responsible for providing accurate and timely test results that will help providers determine patient care needs and are a strong generalist (preferably with microbiology reading experience) who is a willing and capable phlebotomist when needed.
Due to the rural location, our ideal candidate must possess a comprehensive range of laboratory knowledge and skills, and be able to adapt and learn new skills without hesitation. This position will call on your ability to respond quickly and accurately in a wide variety of situations. Whether you are gathering samples, performing analysis, or delivering test results, you'll be regularly challenged to innovate and invent.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
Experience:
- Prior experience with microbiology, hematology, chemistry, blood banking, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, and blood gases and the ability to move between all areas easily within the same shift.
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration:
- Must have current ASCP certification
Knowledge/Ability/Skills:
- Ability to read microbiology results independently preferred.
- Willing and able to perform venous and arterial blood collection.
- A positive contributor to interpersonal interactions within the laboratory
- Willingness to modify the schedule to help accommodate time off requests.
- Emotionally mature and able to maintain the same in stressful or STAT situations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (oral, written, and listening).
- Must possess high levels of self-motivation and management.
- Able to lift/move up to 15 lbs. without assistance and lift/move weights beyond 15 lbs. with assistance.
- Ability to work confidentially.
- Reliable and timely with work schedule.
- Flexible and willing to accept other duties as assigned.
