About the Job
The Utilities Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and servicing all of the company's utility and secondary supporting systems.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of the facility HVAC systems.
- Ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of the facility water processing and generation systems, including filtration, reverse osmosis, de-ionization, pure steam, and water for injection.
- Ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of the utilities support equipment, used to provide utilities to the HVAC and water preparation equipment, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and associated equipment and systems.
- Ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of the facility support equipment, including elevators, conveyors, compactors, doors and door systems, and other secondary systems used to support the facility operations.
- The timely execution of preventive maintenance on the company's utility systems and supporting equipment.
- Servicing or overseeing the repair of unscheduled maintenance on the company's utility systems and supporting equipment.
- Work directly with the Director of Facilities Engineering and other utilities technicians to service and maintain the HVAC equipment, water processing equipment, and other related supporting equipment, as required.
- Utilize and maintain Ritedose work order system.
- Maintain and provide the upkeep of the Ritedose facilities.
- Works on-call to respond to emergency calls as required.
- Ensure facility HVAC systems and water processing and generation systems stay in a validated state.
- Assist in the supervision and completion of work performed by outside service contractors as required.
- Active participant on the safety team. Responsible for following the guidelines for all Safety concerns and for proper cleanup and other personal protection needed to handle hazardous materials and or procedures.
- Follow Ritedose SOPs, safety and health guidelines, and GMP guidelines.
