About the Job
Summary Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in frock room. Cleans cafeteria, locker rooms, and washrooms by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Cleans floor mats, dries dispensers in production area, cleans rack for frocks as needed and cleans vents in cafeteria as needed.
- Makes sure that gloves in Production to make sure containers are full enough
- Make sure clean frocks has been moved to Frock Room in a timely manner.
- Develops, recommends (to upper management), and implements measures to improve processes, performance, and quality of output in above areas.
- Suggests (to upper management) changes in working conditions and use of methods, tools, equipment or other resources to increase efficiency of related department or work crew. Changes in working conditions and use of equipment to maintain a safe workplace.
- Acts as a contact for emergency situations in related areas, including but not limited to fire alarm events and evacuations.
- Analyzes workload to estimate worker hours and create production schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
- Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations in stated areas, based upon current supplies and work requirements, and requisitions materials from storage area.
- Inspects and measures work areas and work product to verify conformance to organizational needs.
- Directs workers in correctly and efficiently completing tasks, such as sharpening knives, maintaining clean, safe and orderly condition of lunch room, performing tasks in frock room and maintaining sanitary and working condition of production employee bathrooms.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet needs of each work area.
- Works with human resources and maintenance personnel on scheduling locker inspections, repairs and maintenance in stated areas.
- Responsible for monitoring safe and correct working condition of equipment and related
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
- Inspects knives to ensure they are sharpened well for use in production.
- Maintains certain aspects of the facility areas as required.
- Works with Vice President of Operations and Production Manager on special project, as needed.
- Acts as back-up to other Production Supervisors, as needed.
- Performs other duties as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees with assistance from Human Resources Department; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience. Prior Supervisory experience is needed which includes strong leadership skills. Knowledge of USDA, HACCP, SSOP's and GMP's is desired.
Other Skills and Abilities
Multi-language is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to cold temperatures in the plant and potentially the freezer. The employee may be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
