Texas Lehigh Cement is hiring for a Utility Operator in Buda, Texas. This is a full-time position, offering opportunity for overtime, with wages starting at $21.95 an hour paid weekly.
The Utility Operator is responsible for general plant labor. This is a highly versatile role that requires attention to detail, a team-member mentality, and strict adherence to safety regulations. As the Utility Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining smooth operation in the plant. This is achieved through moving raw material through the plant as needed, keeping up cleanliness of the job site, and maintaining a problem-solving attitude.

- Welding, cutting, rigging.
- Understand material handling, operation, and trouble shooting.
- Basic understanding of pneumatics & hydraulics
- High level of safety consciousness.
- Good communication skills.
- Planning and Organization Skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Energetic & self-motivated.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must be able to perform basic computer operations.
- Ability to safely use hand & power tools.
- Ensures safety is an integral part of all job duties at all times.
- Observe Texas Lehigh Cement Company’s safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Responsible for housekeeping.
- Responsible for the preventive & corrective repairs of assigned tools and equipment.
- Detect equipment anomalies observed in the field & report back to supervisor.
- Perform light mechanical maintenance activities; make repairs, minor installations and replacements.
- Perform condition-monitoring activities.
