Position Summary:
The Utility Worker will be responsible for assisting camera operators before, during, and after an event/game with camera cables. This position will help with the set-up and break-down of camera and related equipment as well as work with technical staff to satisfy production needs for live events. Additionally, the Utility Worker will have the ability to understand signal path and pro-actively keep the cable path safe for all foot traffic.
Essential Functions:
Support camera operators with live camera shots during the event by walking to shot locations, framing on-camera hosts/ audience, and command and control the cable wrangling; over-under cable pulls.
Help the camera operator set-up equipment and change camera lenses before the start of the event/ game and tear down at the end of the day.
- Troubleshoot camera equipment (tripod, tally, viewfinder, monitor) and perform other duties as assigned. Maintain continuity of all camera related equipment as well as inform the technical staff of camera equipment needs and related issues.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
- A minimum of 0-1 years of related work experience
- Knowledge of camera operations
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must work well in a team environment
- Ability to work repetitive tasks throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs
Pay Scale: $25.00 - $35.00
