This position performs semi-skilled and routine manual tasks involved in providing maintenance necessary to maintain the buildings, grounds and equipment of Trinity Regional Health Systems. Will begin performing work of routine difficulty requiring immediate supervision progressing to requiring only general supervision. Must utilize good communication and customer relation skills.
Responsibilities:Grounds Keeping
- Cleans grounds at all campuses, including entrances, parking lots, sidewalks, lawns and landscape areas, picking up litter of any type on a regular basis. Will empty all exterior trash containers on regular basis as needed. Will water lawns, trees and flowers as needed. Will plant flowers and shrubs as needed
Vehicle Maintenance
- Will oversee and/or perform routine maintenance of all department vehicles and snow removal equipment, ensuring that all the proper maintenance is performed, they are clean, full of fuel and ready for use. Will do snow removal under the direction of the snow crew lead. Will be required to work other shifts and weekends at the discretion of the snow crew lead.
General Maintenance
- Effectively completes tasks of a routine nature such as changing filters in HVAC/RTU units, move furniture and equipment, change light bulbs, make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment, hang pictures, install curtain rods, painting inside and out, cleaning cooling towers, power washing cooling towers, cooling/heating coils, equipment, roadways and other duties as assigned. May assist technician with repairs and rebuild work.
Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent.
License(s)/Certification(s): Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
