Responsibilities
Reporting to College of Social Work faculty member Dr. Tiffany Baffour, responsibilities will include the following:
+ Assist in formulating and implementing a research dissemination plan for research studies
+ Assist in the preparation of reports, policy briefs and manuscripts for publication
+ Assist in the design and production of creative graphics, videos, and marketing materials for research
+ Assist with conceptualization and design of webinars, podcasts, and social media.
+ Assist in the collection, entry, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
+ Follow ethical guidelines for conducting research, including confidentiality and informed consent protocols.
+ Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
Preferences
+ Coursework or demonstrated experience in social science research required
+ Current University of Utah graduate/undergraduate student in the following majors are encouraged to apply: Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Ethnic Studies, Gender Studies, Political Science, Anthropology, English, Graphic Design, Studio Art, Strategic Communication, Journalism, CommSHER, or Communication Studies. Applicants from graduate programs in Communications with the appropriate expertise are also invited to apply. Other social science and humanities majors will be considered if the student has the knowledge and expertise required.
+ Work study eligible required
+ Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro, and Photoshop
+ Detail-oriented with excellent administrative, copy-editing, and content-creation skills
+ Experience with digital marketing is a plus
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven experience in editing and proofreading
+ Ability to follow policy, brand, and editorial guidelines required
+ Familiarity with editing software like Grammarly or EndNote is a plus
+ Ability to work independently, show initiative and multi-task.
+ Ability to work well as part of a group or team
