Summary
Identify and provide supportive services to the families eligible for program services. Conduct individual assessment with low to moderate income working adults within the target geographical area to determine eligibility for Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Conduct EITC outreach and education. Connect families to community-based agencies.
A. Learn and adhere to Tampa Housing Authority’s Policies and Procedures as well as, associated local, state and federal operating guidelines for Public Housing as outlined by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Housing and Urban Development.
- Assist with the development and coordination of all functions associated with the Department of Program and Property Services and other assigned duties.
- Assist with the planning and organizing of a comprehensive program to promote academic, social and parent engagement services and activities for the population of focus.
- Identify and provide supportive services to the families eligible for program services.
- Conduct individual assessment to determine eligibility.
- Connect families to community-based agencies that provide ACEs outreach and education.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of program activities that are culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate for families.
- Assist with the development of program services that will be efficient and effective in collaboration with community providers offering services to the population of focus.
- Assist with the coordination of service fairs, workshops and related activities associated with the assigned project.
- Attend regularly scheduled staff meeting to receive coaching and counseling on program services and quality assurance of related areas.
- Provide documentation of program services and activities for input into the appropriate database.
- Provide safe driving with adherence to all DMV road and vehicle requirements.
B. Marketing and Outreach Efforts - This will include coordinating the distribution of informational materials on services for assigned sites.
- Provide outreach, education and coordination of all associated EITC activities including collaborating with community partners, surrounding communities and all public housing developments.
- Assist with the development and distribution of outreach and marketing material.
- Assist with the development and incorporate into the annual Calendar of Events recruitment strategies which specifically target families.
- Engage program participants through workshops, meetings, advertisements, direct mail and other marketing campaigns for participation.
C. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of the principles and practices involving families, special projects and program services.
- Ability to prepare clear concise reports.
- Ability to use basic office equipment such as telephone, fax, copier, and computer.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude, and excellent in communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Knowledge of Tampa Housing Authority Policies and Procedures including those related to medical, disciplinary and the State of Florida Regulations governing Child Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation

Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree required, plus one (1) years’ experience in working with youth, community collaborations, communications, and outreach. Bachelors degree preferred in Education, Social Services, Psychology or closely related field. Must have valid Florida Driver’s License; Must be able to be insured under the agency’s insurance policy. Requires Level II Background Clearance
