Our UX department is currently seeking enthusiastic UX Design students to participate in our summer internship program. The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong interest in contributing to a highly collaborative team environment, is a self-starter and is eager to learn.
As an intern at CHG, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced UX designers in the healthcare staffing industry to gain hands-on experience while contributing to impactful projects. You'll be embedded on a team of product managers, user researchers, software engineers and cross functional partners across the digital organization and be tasked with designing different solutions to solve user needs including interfaces, flows, and prototypes. You will participate in every stage of the design process, from understanding our users to collaborating with product managers to solve problems to designing experiences and delivering them to engineering.
You will also be assigned a mentor who will be available for guidance and questions while you are completing assigned projects.
The CHG UX Design internship is currently scheduled for the summer semester; however, it could be extended depending on business need.
Responsibilities:
- Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to illustrate design concepts and user interactions.
- Visual Design: Assist in the development of visually engaging and cohesive designs that align with brand guidelines and enhance overall user experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers, to ensure a seamless integration of design solutions.
- User Research: Participate in the planning of usability tests, and interpreting learnings to refine your design.
Qualifications:
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving
- Proficient in using design and prototyping tools such as Figma to create intuitive solutions that solve user needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Education and Years of Experience:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree (graduating in/after May 2023) in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Liberal Arts, Psychology or similar.
- A portfolio displaying a variety of user experience design work, including both strong strategic thinking and visual design.
We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay of $20.00/hour
CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
