In the Role
- Partner closely with team leads and internal stakeholders to create empathetic, simple, and human-centric design solutions that define our product experience.
- Work collaboratively with other designers on your team to create conceptual wireframes, prototypes, and final designs for consumer-facing websites and mobile apps considering user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Own product features through launch, ensuring we're shipping meaningful and quality experience
- Help to develop, use, and maintain a design system that delivers a consistent and on-brand experience throughout all of our digital experiences, both website and mobile apps.
- Ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas to push the user experience of our product
- Give and solicit feedback from other designers, product management, and engineering during weekly reviews and standups
- Participate in design workshops to explore innovative solutions for problems and opportunities identified through research and data.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in either agency or product related environments designing consumer facing digital experiences
- 2+ years of experience leading and developing others; preferably a team
- Expertise building successful and engaging mobile applications; experience building consumer facing membership-based mobile apps is a plus
- Extensive experience designing and launching mobile applications for the most current iOS and Android versions
- Experience designing mobile-first and responsive web pages
- Hands on experience with Angular or similar web application frameworks
- Ability to rapidly iterate and produce multiple concepts and solutions
- Experience with both qualitative and quantitative testing
- Proficiency with design and prototyping software such as Sketch, Figma and Invision
- Knowledge of UX best practices and trends
- Strong understanding of information hierarchy and typography
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of how data and qualitative research inform product and design decisions
