Responsibilities:
- The Project Starline team works on innovative new tech with the aim of making communication feel present, immersive, and real, no matter where in the world you are.
- Several of our recent initiatives are pilot projects that are being used at scale for the first time.
- As UX Researcher, you’ll support the evaluation of these initiatives by collecting and analyzing user feedback and survey data.
- The UX Research Associate will conduct mixed-methods research using quantitative and qualitative methodologies (e.g., surveys, interviews, usability testing), analyze data, and report findings to cross-functional stakeholders across our wider team.
- Manage survey fielding, analyze survey data, report findings.
- Plan and design UXR studies.
- Conduct mixed-methods UXR studies (e.g., usability testing, interviews), analyze data, and report findings
Requirements
- M.A/M.S or Ph.D. (completed) in Psychology, Sociology, Human Factors, HCI/Computer Science, or other related fields or equivalent practical experience
- 1-3 years of work experience or relevant graduate-school research experience
- Experience with Qualtrics or other survey fielding tools.
- Experience with SPSS, R, or other data cleaning & analysis tools.
- Basic familiarity with each of the following methods, and in-depth expertise in one or more of the following:
- Usability studies
- Concept tests
- Competitive benchmarks
- Diary studies
- User interviews
- Field research
- Behavioral science experiments
- Surveys
- Detail-oriented and ability to work independently on a variety of tasks
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Can prioritize time between multiple projects, and be flexible by adapting to changing schedules and different projects
