What You'll Do
- Develop and/or review manufacturing qualification plans and validation strategies in compliance with quality requirements and industry standards
- Review change requests for potential impact to validated processes, systems and equipment
- Provide test validation support to ensure correct level of testing, accuracy of test limits and critical criteria definition
- Perform independent risk assessment on validation approaches to understand impact on product quality
- Collaborate with other manufacturing and engineering disciplines to identify validation needs, determine root cause of qualification failures and solve complex problems
- Recommend process updates and validation improvements that identify opportunities, mitigate risks and reduce cost of poor quality
- Partner with quality engineers where compliance to validation processes, methods and procedures is at risk
- Communicate validation impacts to business goals to relevant stakeholders and management
- Drive results by leading and completing validation initiatives against identified timelines
- Support cross-functional design, test, manufacturing and change control meetings
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, computer science, mathematics, computational mathematics, physics, or a similar field with 6+ years related experience
- Understanding of fundamental test and system engineering principles/concepts
- Experience inauthoring, reviewing, executing and approving validation processes and procedures
- Experience in root cause analysis tools and application of rigorous structured problem-solving techniques
- Familiarly with IQ, OQ, PQ protocols and FAIs in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement and statistical analysis tools (e.g. Cpk, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Shainin Red-X)
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Ability to demonstrate leadership skills in daily activities
- Task-oriented with an attention for details and accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 and IPC standards
- Familiarity with complex electronics manufacturing and RF test tooling and measuring a plus
- Ability to review designs and code for complex test and measurement systems (e.g. LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, VBA) a plus

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $100,000 to $113,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
