Validation Engineer
The Validation Engineer is responsible for implementing the site Validation Program to ensure compliance with Colgate Global Quality and regulatory requirements. Owns the site Strategy to ensure coverage of all critical plant activities such as new formulas, formula changes, new or upgraded process or equipment, water & critical utility systems, computer control systems, etc. Ensures site Validation Program appropriately connects to other plant quality systems such as Management of Change (MoC), Technology Transfer, Calibration, Facilities & Equipment and Preventive Maintenance.
Responsibilities include:
+ Own the site Strategy to cover critical activities such Site Validation Master Plan (VMP).
+ Lead the Validation strategy in the plant linked to Formula changes, new or upgraded equipment and processes.
+ Implement and supervise the VMP and communicate compliance throughout the site
+ Adapt the new technologies and system to the site Quality System.
+ Support the Local Engineering team with the final Performance Qualification (PQ) protocols and summary reports. Note: Engineering will maintain the IOQ execution.
+ Support and ensure the accurate execution and documentation of Process Validation (PV) during the Technology Transfer Process as required
+ Establish an ongoing periodic process to review routine production to ensure the validated manufacturing processes and systems remain in a state of control (e.g. Continued Process Verification), including incoming materials, in-process materials and finished products.
+ Lead site validation meetings and report and communicate on a monthly basis the status of Validation Plan and Status
+ Ensure validation documentation is properly maintained, acting as site administrator and ensuring compliance (i.e. KNEAT software)
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related science or related fields.
+ Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
+ Minimum 2 years experience in validation activities, e.g. drafting/executing/completing equipment or instrument qualification, formula validations, computer system validation, etc.
+ Possess excellent ability to understand, read, speak and write in English
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 1 - 2 years proven experience in coordinating projects
+ Strong ability and knowledge of statistics and Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools
+ User knowledge of SAP and Minitab. Excellent knowledge of Google or Microsoft Office tools
+ Excellent interpersonal communication, great teammate with strong relationship-building skills
+ Excellent time management skills; organized and self-motivated
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $72,400.00 - $114,000.00 USD
Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.
Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:
