Job Purpose: |
To drive the facility van providing transportation of facility residents to physicians’ offices and activities as scheduled by the facility. |
Essential job Duties and Responsibilities: |
Transportation Function: |
Transport residents to medical appointments and functions associated with resident activities scheduled by and in association with the facility; drive facility van for purpose of supplies and related facility acquisitions’ transport van for necessary maintenance’ transport and deli ier documents to appropriate state and local agencies. |
Administrative Function: |
Schedule resident(s)’ medical appointments ; maintain drive logs |
Compliance Function: |
Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies. Ensure ongoing Company compliance with all laws and regulations |
Other Job Functions: |
Resident Rights Function: |
Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect; know and comply with residents’ Rights rules |

Physical and Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical device): |
Works in a climate-controlled and well-lighted environment.. Works in an office and throughout the building daily. Has Category 1 risk of exposure to infectious diseases, but receives training in handwashing practices and Universal Precautions and has access to personal protective equipment if direct exposure is anticipated. Is subject to interruptions, noise, and odors daily Walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures, ability to communicate with residents and employees, ability to understand and follow training, ability to instruct staff in service education, and the ability to remain calm under stress. |
Qualifications: |
Must posses a current valid Texas Drivers License with no accidents or outstanding tickets Prefer to be a licensed C.N.A. in the state of Texas in good standing. Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job. Must be able to relate positively and favorably to resident and families and to work cooperatively with other associates. Must be capable of lifting and transitioning of residents. Must be able to lift over 50 pounds. Must be capable of performing the essential job functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance. |
