JOB BRIEF
We are seeking experienced professional ARRT Scrub Techs for our interventional radiology centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. See www.TLCvascular.com for locations. Most work will be normal business hours. But sometimes weekend work will be required, based on when procedures are scheduled.
As a member of our team, we all provide a high level of efficient patient care, while always presenting a caring, ethical, and professional experience for the patients, doctors and other team members.
Perform specialized imaging for endovascular peripheral intervention. Position requires an independent highly skilled operator capable of assisting surgeons during procedures and be well versed in utilizing portable c-arm units and their various functions. (Philips Veradius Unity) Minimum of 2 yrs experience with ACLS/BLS required within 14 days of employment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards as the facility RSO.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Supply inventory tracking and management
• Ensure mandatory clinical guidelines for keeping a high standard of care in our angio-suite involving proper disposal of contaminated products and proper sanitization of the operating suite.
• EMR knowledge (ECW) a plus.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

CERTIFICATION
• ACLS/BLS within 14 days of employment
bASIC KNOWLEDGE and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a physician's office or hospital setting
- Experienced in diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions
- Ability to make independent decisions regarding patient care
- Basic working knowledge of managed care and Medicare population
- Procedural experience; preferably assisting Interventional Radiologists
- Skilled in surgical techniques
- Excellent communication skills
