Vascular Surgery Opportunity in Danbury, Connecticut (Fairfield County, 60 miles from New York City)
Danbury Hospital, located about 60 miles northeast of New York City in suburban Fairfield County and near the border of Westchester County in New York, is seeking a 3rd vascular surgeon interested in joining a growing hospital network. We have a free standing 6 year general surgical residency which includes a year of research. Teaching medical students and residents is an important part of the program. Our group enjoys state of the art hybrid ORs, dedicated block time, and an excellent OR support staff. A very busy vascular lab, the only IAC accredited vein center in the state, and an office based lab are also part of the practice. There is also the opportunity for translational and basic science research.
The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Vascular Surgery and looking to join a long established, busy practice and collegial team. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues. Sign on bonus and relocation allowance will also be provided.
Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our employed Medical Group includes 1000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
Danbury, Connecticut, located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, is about 60 miles northeast of New York City. As part of the greater NY metropolitan area, the city of Danbury enjoys both proximity to New York City culture and access to a wide array of four season recreational activities. The area offers highly rated public and private school options and universities. Boston, New York City, New Haven and Hartford are easily accessible from this area.
