About the Job
Progressive Physician Associates (PPA) is a multi-specialty group consisting of Interventional Radiologists, Diagnostic Radiologists, and Vascular Surgeons who provides services to St. Lukes University Health Network.
We have established an advanced practitioner service to extend the excellent clinical care our vascular surgeons provide throughout St. Lukes Hospital Network. The advanced practitioner will provide comprehensive medical /surgical care to patients at multiple sites, in collaboration with physicians and other staff. This includes medical evaluation, diagnostic testing, treatment, counseling and education to patients and their families while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team. The selected candidates will play an integral part in the development and integration of this service into a currently high functioning Vascular Surgery practice.

We are located in Eastern Pennsylvania which is conveniently positioned one hour from Philadelphia and New York City with excellent schools and universities including Lehigh University and Lafayette College. The vibrant Lehigh Valley is known for its rich cultural history and mix of attractions including a variety of restaurants, annual festivals and entertainment, farmers markets and a selection of outdoor activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in collaboration with vascular surgeons, fellows, advanced practitioners and multidisciplinary team
- Educate patient/family counseling on disease process, minimally invasive endovascular and surgical procedures
- Order and evaluate labs and diagnostic imaging
- Participates in ongoing QI/PI activities and continuing education
- Functions as a mentor and resource providing guidance to coworkers and staff
Work Schedule:
- 4 - 10 hour weekdays at varying St Lukes Heart and Vascular Centers
- Up to 10 On Call Weekend shifts per year with assignments based on coverage needs and team schedule
- Primarily outpatient with a mix inpatient

- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, and to learn about vascular surgery
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to interface and collaborate with patients, families, staff and providers effectively
- Maintain knowledge of current medical practices and skills
- The position will require flexibility to cover any site in the St. Lukes University Health Network
Educational Requirements/Certifications:
- Nurse Practitioner with current license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania
- Current Certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or
- Current Certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center for Nurse Practitioners'
