Job Description
About the Job
Need a senior, and a robust developer who can take a 85% completed project to delivery/completion, including documentation.
This would need experience with reengineering, refactoring, with no room for "coming up to speed", and hence someone who has been in these situations will be the best fits
The client is an AS400 shop developing a .NET HTML5 front-end to combine multiple tables and present a responsive browser-based form to users.
It's an MVC 5 application with Web API's that uses JQuery, Knockout and SignalR. There are also references to NuGet and Antlr, but no idea where or how it is used.
The programmer working the front-end went on leave and is incommunicado. The code is supposed to be 85% complete but undocumented. The guy taking it on is new and had a hard time figuring what the original programmer intended.
These are the technologies being used and the incumbent developer should be strong in them – MVC, JSON, JQuery, Knockout, Angular JS, VB.Net
MVC
Model, View, Controller
Uses HTML5 and takes mobile first approach
Provides an organized structure
Works with Bootstrap (produces responsive mobile-first apps)
JSON

Lightweight method of transmitting data
JQuery
Is a JavaScript library that simplifies interaction with the DOM (Document Object Model)
NOT browser specific
Knockout
Is a JavaScript library that provides automatic UI refreshes and updates
NOT browser specific – very versatile
Uses JQuery and Ajax
