About the Job
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a vCISO. The work will be done remotely. This is part-time contract. To start, there will be about 5-10 hours a week to start, with the potential to expand. This has the potential to grow to more hours, or even full-time if interested. Compensation is $115/hr C2C.
Our client is a Cyber Security Consulting firm. They sell a product and provide infoSec services. They need a vCISO to join their team and support their clients on a part time basis. The vCISO will be responsible for gap analyses, incident response improvements, disaster recovery strategies, tabletop exercises, and more. The end clients are in the insurance industry.
Requirements:
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Professional Experience: At least 10 years of experience in information security, with a significant portion in a leadership role. Experience as a CISO, Deputy CISO, or similar position is highly desirable.
Ideal candidate will have experience with CMMC readiness and SOC2.
Certifications: Professional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or other relevant credentials are required.
Knowledge of Cybersecurity Frameworks: Profound understanding of cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and others. Experience in implementing these frameworks within an organization is essential.
Risk Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks. Experience with risk management methodologies and tools.
