Our company is seeking an experienced Permanent VDC Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in managing and coordinating Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes for our various construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing VDC/BIM protocols, managing 3D coordination, and providing technical support to project teams. This position requires a high level of proficiency in a range of software including Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BlueBeam, and SketchUp. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, design review, and construction coordination.
Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the implementation of VDC/BIM processes and protocols on all assigned projects.
2. Coordinate and manage 3D modeling efforts for effective design and construction processes.
3. Review and analyze construction drawings and designs to identify potential issues and conflicts.
4. Utilize clash detection tools to identify and resolve design conflicts.
5. Collaborate with project teams, providing technical support and guidance on VDC/BIM processes.
6. Conduct design coordination meetings with project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project objectives.
7. Use software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BlueBeam, and SketchUp to create, manage, and manipulate 3D models.
8. Train and mentor team members on the effective use of VDC/BIM tools and processes.
9. Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices in all VDC/BIM activities.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a VDC/BIM role in the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in a range of software including Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BlueBeam, and SketchUp.
4. Strong knowledge of construction coordination, clash detection, and design review processes.
5. Experience with 3D modeling, design coordination, and construction drawings.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Familiarity with MEP systems and their coordination in a 3D environment.
8. Excellent communication and team management skills.
9. Ability to train and mentor team members in VDC/BIM processes.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
11. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
