In support of PM AAA, we are seeking a Vehicle Communication Data/Network Maintenance Instructor with experience in supporting the New Equipment Training (NET) efforts for the Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) and Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV).
The Instructor shall train members on how to install, operate, and troubleshoot interoperable tactical and enterprise communication suites, through the use of advanced systems, including Microsoft based curriculum and MS Exchange/Server, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) modules 1, 2, and 3, as well as other authorized cyber network systems.
The specific requirements and tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
Fill cryptographic keys in electronic encryption devices, submit frequency requests for test and evaluation events, and load correct frequencies for secure communications Provide day-to-day coordination for the provisioning of symmetric and asymmetric key products to support C4 and C2 systems support, including:
- Providing information regarding new or revised COMSEC policies and procedures and their impact on the NETT.
- Monitoring and maintaining NETT COMSEC material allowances.
- Assist with training NETT staff in Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) procedures and best practices;
- Maintain the integrity of the COMSEC program and its subordinate accounts; and inventory control, technical data management, and exercise materiel control and custody management for communications equipment loaned to the NETT.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred with at least six (6) years of relevant experience; familiarity with ordinance vehicle operations; proficient in Microsoft Office Products; strong attention to detail; provide proof of completion of the Marine Corps Instructor Development Course (IDC) or equivalent; read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language, including technical language and terms associated with the operation, operator maintenance and field level maintenance of Ordnance Vehicles and associated communications and data systems.
Specific/Preferred Requirements:
Applicants shall have the knowledge, skills and attributes of internetworking fundamentals, operations, configuration management, and execution of diagnostic tests and interpretation of results; removal and installation of major components; determination if the system/subsystem is malfunctioning; isolation and location of malfunctions in the Line Replaceable Units (LRU); replacement of defective LRU's; troubleshooting and repair of system and subsystem malfunctions, and performance of routine preventative maintenance functions of the Mobile Modular Command and Control (C2) systems installed on AA C2 platform that provide staff access to network enclaves: Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRnet), Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRnet) and Mission Specific communications.
