Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Vendor Administrator I to join our Finance team in Cypress, CA. The Vendor Administrator will assist in the onboarding, monitoring, and evaluation of third-party service providers. They will support the team in conducting basic risk assessments and due diligence reviews of vendors, working closely with business process owners, the legal compliance team, and the Information Security team. In this role they will also help to manage and update the Vendor Risk Assessment Card under the guidance of senior team members and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

$53,200 to $87,770

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Vendor Administrator I to join our Finance team in Cypress, CA. The Vendor Administrator will assist in the onboarding, monitoring, and evaluation of third-party service providers. They will support the team in conducting basic risk assessments and due diligence reviews of vendors, working closely with business process owners, the legal compliance team, and the Information Security team. In this role they will also help to manage and update the Vendor Risk Assessment Card under the guidance of senior team members and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
What you'll be doing:
- Assist with vendor onboarding and monitoring by supporting the setup and onboarding of third-party service providers. Help monitor ongoing vendor performance and compliance with company standards.
- Assist in performing initial risk assessments of new vendors. Help gather and organize information needed for vendor due diligence.
- Support vendor due diligence by assisting senior team members with reviewing documentation, contracts, and compliance records. Ensure all necessary information is collected and documented for vendor risk assessments.
- Help update and maintain Vendor Risk Assessment Card under the supervision of senior staff. Ensure all vendor records are accurate and up to date.
- Report on vendor risk status by preparing basic reports summarizing vendor risk levels and escalate concerns to senior staff when necessary. Assist in tracking vendor performance and compliance throughout the engagement.
- Collaborate with the Business Unit, Legal, & Compliance, Vendor Management Team and YMUS InfoSec to ensure key elements of the contract align with regulatory and YMFUS requirements. Assist the Business in negotiating pricing.
- Supporting the enhancement of Vendor Management workspace by helping in building, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Monday.com as an effective tool for efficiently managing and tracking vendors.
- Set up and maintain system configurable user workflows, tables, reports, and profiles as required to support business user needs for both originations and servicing platforms.
- Interface with Accounting & Financial Planning & Analysis groups to ensure accurate financial reporting by service vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Decision Making Responsibilities:
- May be required to make decisions related to routine tasks, such as gathering and organizing vendor information, completing assigned assessments, and updating internal records.
- These decisions will follow established guidelines and procedure-more complex or high-risk issues should be escalated to senior team members or Subject Matter Experts (SME) for further review and decision making.
What you'll need to be successful:
- High school diploma required, associate degree or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred.
- Minimum 1 years of Vendor experience required.
- Experience in developing and publishing MIS reports and Vendor scorecards is preferred.
- Financial analysis experience preferred.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Project and PowerPoint is required. Understanding of data bases and SQL preferred.
- Effective communication skills including experience in presenting to senior management teams.
- Automobile/Power Sports Industry experience preferred.
