POSITION SUMMARY:
The Vendor Relations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing relationships with our contract manufacturing partners. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the CPG industry, excellent negotiation skills, and a commitment to ensuring that our manufacturing partners deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
This role requires business operational acumen to communicate effectively with both internal and external operational teams. The Manager is expected to evolve and improve vendor processes including but not limited to reviewing or recommending innovative solutions that will impact our clients and members, strategic planning, analysis of data, and overall operational performance of key deliverables.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key strategic vendors.
- Regularly evaluate and monitor vendor performance against key metrics and KPIs.
- Work to resolve vendor disputes and/or other vendor related issues in a timely manner.
- Lead negotiations for new contracts and renewals, ensuring terms align with company objectives and compliance standards.
- Review and approve all contract modifications, ensuring that any changes are documented and communicated effectively.
- Ensure all contracts are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure contract manufacturers meet or exceed agreed standards.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain team to align manufacturing schedules with company production and distribution plans.
- Prepare and present regular reports on vendor performance, contract status, and any issues or risks to senior management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and vendor management, with a proven track record of success
- Proven experience in negotiating and managing contracts with contract manufacturers.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions

- Must be able to sit/stand for 8 hours
- Walking, bending, light lifting up to 50 lbs
