Vendor Success Specialist
The Vendor Success Specialist acts as the point of contact with top vendors and suppliers, providing information and support to resolve issues and facilitate collaborative relationships. The Vendor Success Specialist works closely with our Marketing and Procurement departments to foster relationships with our top vendors. This position will conduct regular reviews with the regional marketing teams to ensure consistence and drive continuous improvement with our top vendor relationships.
In this role, you will:
- Work with Vendor Relations team to develop the strategy for our Sales Planning events with our top vendors.
- Assist in coordinating Sales Planning events to foster creativity and the exchange of implementation ideas throughout the organization. Work closely with marketing team on sourcing information for new product campaigns with top vendors.
- Lead Monthly Newsletter product content for top vendors.
- Be responsible for managing the process of budgeting, entering, tracking, and collecting Business Development funds.
- Communicate the process and funds allocation to the regions and report regular updates.
- Assist in product / supplier conversions (Pricing, Inventory Buy Backs, Returns, Product Launches / Training, etc.)
- Be responsible for identifying opportunities to reduce cost and work with manufacturers to establish the lowest cost across the company.
- Assist in evaluating vendors by category and rationalization of vendors.
- Responsible for maintaining vendor KPI’s to assess performance.
- Work with necessary internal teams to maintain and update Scorecard as needed.
- Attend all vendor-facing Events (NAED and AD conferences/meetings, Automation Fair, etc.)
- Responsible for collecting data and sales feedback and summarizing that data.
- Assist in meeting content and scheduling.
- Manage the AD Rewards program for inside/counter sales, including making sure new employees are added to the program, working with sales on promotions to allow sales to earn extra points, etc.
- Work with AD to create SPIFF’s and Promo’s with top AD vendors.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in vendor relations, marketing or a related field is preferred.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to attend vendor-facing events as required.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot), Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Microsoft 365, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence).
