About the Job
Folino Estate Winery is seeking a qualified Venue Planner to join our banquet sales/venues team. This position will be responsible for all administrative assistance regarding booking, planning, and accounting processing of all wedding, banquet, and event functions, and coordinating day of activities for assigned events. The Venue Planner will ensure client satisfaction through prompt, professional, and hospitable delivery of services. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment that hosts close to 200+ events per year.
The Venue Planner needs to balance a wide variety of tasks, is quick on their feet, resourceful, and has a thirst to learn as much as possible about our company, clients, and day-to-day workload.
Qualifications:
· Event Planning: 1 year (Preferred)
· Customer Service: 3 years (Preferred)
· Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
Candidates should meet the following requirements and skillset:
· Skills and talents to produce positive results!
· Minimum of 1 year of event planning experience.
· Keen eye for detail and exceptional organization skills.
· Professional and polished with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
· Results-oriented and enthusiastic!
· Must have extremely high standards in all areas and a passion for guest service.
· Computer and Internet competency.
· Multi-tasking skills are a must in our fast-paced environment.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Flexible work availability required including evenings and weekends.
Planning:
· Venue Planners will work as a team on all guest events throughout the planning process and day of activities.
· Inputting all venue planning details thoroughly into a CRM system, Total Party Planner (TPP).
· Detailing events with accuracy. Must have the ability to guide and lead guests through choices of food, beverage, set-up, themes, colors, etc., and oversee the event from start to finish.
· Recommending pricing that shows tremendous value to our guests while profitability margins are met.
· Up-sell menu items to maximize revenues while providing increased value and an exceptional experience to our guests.
· Plan and assist with executing bridal tastings.
· Exceeding customers' expectations with great knowledge, and genuine service.
· Coordinate the day of events by reviewing all details and seeing the event through to the end.
· Developing and maintaining exceptional relationships.
· After the event has been completed, follow up with the client and request feedback and a review
Key Performance Indicators:
· Develop events and manage and maintain all event tasks required independently and accurately, leading to delegation and autonomy within the Sales and Venue Department.
· Identifies and owns the standards for Folino Estate’s Customer experience.
· Assist with hitting sales targets by upselling during the planning process.
· Positive feedback from the client and guests regarding the entire event and planning process within 30 days of the event date.
· Strong team player maintaining relationships and open lines of communication across departments, community members, and guests.
· Meets or exceeds all goals created each month/quarter.
· Completes required reports and paperwork with accuracy and in a timely fashion for bookkeeping and owners.
· Demonstrates pride and responsibility for all events, maintaining a high level of accountability for the success of each event.
