Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Vertical Stainless Steel Operator to join our team. 

In this role you will be responsible for operating vertical saws to cut steel and stainless steel materials according to blueprints

Key Responsibilities

• Operate vertical saws for cutting steel and stainless steel materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting specifications
• Use measuring tools (tape measures and calipers) to ensure precision in cuts.
• Program and set up saws using our computer system software.
• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on saw equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to cross-train in various aspects of the company
• Participate in team lunches and other company events to foster a positive work culture.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating vertical saws preferred.
• Strong understanding of blueprints and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in measuring and cutting materials accurately.
• Basic computer skills for programming the saw.
• Ability to work collaboratively within the team.

Work Environment

• 40 hour work week with opportunities for overtime
• Early dismissal on Fridays if weekly hours are met by 3pm
