Vet Tech - Bee Cave Veterinary Clinic

THE VET TECH WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Veterinary technician experience
• Well-rounded knowledge of patient care, including exams, surgeries, dental services, and hospitalized cases
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. and work on your feet most of the day
• Ability to safely restrain animals and take blood samples
• Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills

We'd prefer a candidate with at least one year of surgical assisting experience, but we will train the right person! Experience taking X-rays, performing dental prophylaxis, or using Shepherd software would be a bonus.

DAY TO DAY AS OUR VET TECH

You work 36 - 40 hours per week, with no weekends! Our clinic is open:

• Monday and Wednesday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
• Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

Every day in this veterinary position brings something different, and you're ready to tackle whatever comes your way! Working seamlessly with our animal care team, you complete vital tasks such as taking X-rays, placing IVs and catheters, and performing venipuncture. You help prepare for surgery, assist the doctors with various surgical procedures, and safely restrain patients as needed.

When you're not helping out with treatment, you're assisting with front desk operations like answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining health records. With a positive attitude, you speak with pet owners about common health concerns and offer tips for preventative at-home care. You also maintain a welcoming environment for pets by cleaning enclosures, washing laundry, feeding the animals, and taking them for walks. No matter what you're doing, you take pride in making a positive impact!
