Key Responsibilities:

• Pet restraint and triage of incoming patients
• Collection and analysis of lab samples
• Diagnostic imaging
• Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases
• Administration of medications
• Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
• Surgical preparation and assistance

Anesthetic management

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-year experience as a Veterinary Assistant
• Compassionate, calm, team player, multi-tasker, and strong communicator
• Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring
• Self-starter with a desire to advance knowledge and skillset

Special Working Conditions:

• Ability to work confidently around various animals (confirm species with practice leadership)
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings
• Ability to sit or stand at a computer for long periods
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring good hand-eye coordination
