Veterinary Assistant - Vets Pets

Zebulon Animal Hospital is a general practice Hospital serving Zebulon, NC, and the surrounding communities. We are seeking an experienced veterinary assistant/technician to join our team.

Assistant/Technician duties would include, but are not limited to:

• Taking histories and providing initial client education
• Assisting with surgical procedures and patient monitoring
• Care of hospitalized patients
• Daily callbacks to clients
• Restraining patients
• Assisting in taking radiographs
• Giving IV & IM injections
• Dispensing controlled drugs
• Placing IV catheters and maintaining feeding tubes and urinary catheters
• Performing cytologies
• Following opening/closing procedures for the hospital
• Performing routine cleaning

Candidates should possess at least 1 year of experience. Cornerstone experience is a plus. We are seeking detail-oriented candidates with strong abilities in communication and multitasking. Candidates must be able to maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment. EOE

Monday thru Friday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Saturday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Closed on Sunday
