About the job: The Neurology Veterinary Technician position will assist the hospital in delivering excellent care to all of our patients within the hospital. Perform Veterinary Technician duties pursuant to WRAH Technician Protocols. Embodies the culture in treating every client with the utmost courteous and attentive treatment possible, with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between owners and their pets.
How you'll make a difference:
- Monitor and appropriately document patient vital signs and activity
- Provide support to all veterinarians and veterinary technicians, and assist other departments as requested
- Patient procedure prep and set-up/break-down of OR and MRI
- Use of ventilators, anesthetic machines, monitoring devices, and MRI
- Provide comfort, diagnostic, surgical and nursing care to all patients
- Properly use and maintain medical equipment
- Provide professional client communication
What you will bring:
- Experience working as a Veterinary Assistant for 1 years
- A strong desire to learn and apply knowledge/skills learned to daily work life
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral
- Ability to demonstrate technical procedures as outlined in the technician protocols
- Demonstrate reliability and follow-through with all work-related tasks / projects
Schedule: Full-Time position, Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri 8am-6pm
Salary: $18 - $22 / hour based on experience
