Westchester Veterinary Center & Cat Clinic is looking for a Hospital Manager to join our team! We are a full service hospital that provides wellness and diagnostic care, advanced dentistry, and regenerative medicine that includes laser therapy, stem cell therapy, and acupuncture. Position Overview: The Hospital Manager plays an important role in the day-to-day operations with Westchester Veterinary Center & Cat Clinic by adding value to an efficient organization and dedicating quality care and extraordinary service to help support all aspects of the hospital. While developing and sustaining a productive hospital team you will foster an environment of trust, teamwork, and accountability. The Hospital Manager is a leader and an essential member of the veterinary hospital management team. The Hospital Manager partners with the Medical Director and Regional Operations Director to deliver outstanding results for the client experience, financial performance, and culture of the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Demonstrates clear communication of objectives, actively engages in all staff meetings including those with Companion, cultivates a cooperative environment, fosters positive relationships, advocates for quality improvement, adheres to established protocols, and exhibits unwavering dedication to the team and excellence.
- Staff Management: Oversees all hospital support departments, including supervising support staff, participating in recruitment, orientation, and training, providing performance feedback and management training, resolving personnel issues, making recommendations for recognition and promotion, proposing process improvements, managing schedules, monitoring workforce management, overseeing payroll, and achieving labor goals.
- Operational Oversight: Collaborates with the Companion support team to maintain financial report accuracy, manages and analyzes hospital finances and budgets, ensures daily financial accountability, oversees billing accuracy and inventory management, conducts regular reviews with the Regional Operations Director, establishes internal operating procedures for administration and compliance, develops and maintains procedures meeting regulatory requirements, and oversees facility and equipment maintenance.
- Client Relations: Champions a client-centered environment, upholding the practice philosophy to attract and retain clients, promptly addressing and resolving pet owners' complaints, managing financial concerns including delinquent accounts and NSF checks, and collaborating with the Medical Director, involving Companion when needed, to resolve client issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 2 years of management experience
- Experience with finance analysis including P&L’s, COGS, and EBITDA
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, preferred
- Certified Veterinary Practice Manager designation is desirable but not required
- An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibilities listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements

Available Schedule: Full-time position
- We are open: M-F 8am-6pm
- Sat & Sun 8am-4pm
