Veterinary Technician at Southeast Animal Hospital

Southeast Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our furry patients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Surgical preparation of patients and anesthesia monitoring during surgery
• Assist with preventive care and perform dental prophylaxis
• IV catheterization and medication
• Handle discharge planning and provide critical care
• Conduct venipuncture, triage, and X-rays
• Collect and complete in-house labs and prepare samples to outside labs
• Assist doctor with in-patient and out-patient care
• Ensure wellness and vital signs are monitored
• Maintain accurate medical records and controlled drug logs
• Accurate invoicing of services
• Client education, review medications and discharge instructions with clients
• Animal husbandry and general welfare of all boarding and hospitalized patients
• Handle overflow of incoming calls, set appointment and assist customers with their inquiries
• Process payments and invoice services at patient discharge

Job Requirements:

• CVA or LVT preferred
• Experience in anesthesia, catheterization, surgery, and radiology
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be available to work Saturdays and alternating weekends for kennel duties
