Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in emergency and critical care procedures, including examinations, diagnostics, and treatments.
- Perform routine and emergency technical procedures such as venipuncture, catheter placements, and radiography.
- Monitor and manage anesthetized patients during surgical procedures.
- Provide supportive care to hospitalized patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients.
- Educate pet owners on treatment plans, post-operative care, and preventive health measures.
- Collaborate with a team of veterinary professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician in an emergency or critical care setting is required.
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, or CVT) is preferred.
- Strong technical skills, including anesthesia monitoring, emergency procedures, and diagnostic testing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client education and support.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
