We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Client Implementations Project Manager to join our Global Client Onboarding Team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA, Boston, MA or Lake Mary, FL – HYBRID.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Delivers and implements complex global operating models in a multi-phased manner, through the provision of project management and business analysis
- Provides analytical expertise and problem solving in support of project objectives and timelines
- Gathers and analyzes information to assist in development of recommendations to address Client and Business objectives for a specific business group or technology area
- Identifies and manages goals, risks, issues and resources and ensures QA process is applied throughout each project/service lifecycle.
- Facilitates project meetings and workshops with External Clients and Internal Stakeholders as appropriate.
- Produces both informational and decision-seeking reports, analyses and/or presents outputs of the meetings to relevant parties for sign off.
- Monitors project process, risks and issues through weekly reports, CAIR log, project plans.
- Escalates issues that will significantly impact project delivery to relevant parties. Assists more junior roles with issue resolution.
- Manages project post-implementation reviews.
- Communicates effectively and frequently with Project Initiators, Technology, Operations and/or the Client and ensures regular communication among these groups.
- Delivers complex internal and external projects or parts of larger projects.
- Provide clear direction and leadership to staff managed during a project, including where appropriate setting individual objectives at the start of a project and reviewing outcomes during and at the end of the project.
- Have a sound understanding of BNY products, services and clients.
- Lead allocated projects and programs to ensure successful delivery and implementation within deadlines
- Organize resources for project workshops/support with relevant managers in line with both business and project needs
- Ensure quality controls are put in place in project plans and change control processes are implemented
- Ensure project deliverables can achieve the benefits defined in the Business case
- Ensure all project commitments are met
- Monitor and report on progress of projects
- Evaluate potential risks and issues and determine appropriate actions/plans to mitigate the
- Maintain strong working relationships with the service delivery teams across BNYM. Work with them to ensure the operating model is clearly defined and is suited to meeting the client’s needs
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Governance, Project Management, experience or experience within one or more of the asset servicing functions is preferred
- Has a sound knowledge of Project Management and Business Analysis and can develop others in this area.
- Competent with all aspects of Microsoft Office and MS Project
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Middle Office functional and product knowledge preferred: industry OMS flows, trade capture processes, IBOR accounting and support functions (reconciliations, corporate actions, reference data), performance and data management.
- A consistent ability to deliver within deadlines, even under challenging circumstances while managing client expectations.
- Team player with demonstrable skills in developing effective relationships with internal teams and clients.
- Adapt and act quickly to drive change by advocating innovative solutions and new ways of thinking.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; be able to work independently and under pressure while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Problem solver with sound prioritization & time management skills
- Excellent written/verbal communication and effective listening skills
- Ability to use Outlook, Word, Excel for Project Management purposes.
