We provide advice to these sponsors across a variety of situations, including mergers, acquisitions, continuation fund and other portfolio company transactions.The open position is for a Vice President (NYC or Chicago) who will be dedicated to executing client engagements as well as growing Houlihan Lokey’s Fund Opinions practice
As a Vice President, you will join a team that focuses on complex analytics, financial models and valuation across a wide range of industries and asset classes (e.g
buyout, venture capital, credit, etc.)
The group partners with other internal teams (i.e
M&A, industry groups, etc.) to deliver fairness and transaction-based valuation opinions as well as other advisory services to our clients
The FO practice’s clients include preeminent global private equity firms in a transaction-based business model.Our Financial Valuation Advisory (FVA) practice is looking to add talented financial professionals at the Vice President level to focus on managing the execution of client engagements and building out the FO practice
While the primary execution and business development focus will be FO, all members of the FVA practice are expected to broadly facilitate our firm’s growth by cross selling other FVA, Corporate Finance, and Restructuring service offerings provided by Houlihan Lokey.The FO-dedicated Vice President in our Financial and Valuation Advisory Services business will be a fully integrated member of engagement teams
As a Vice President, primary activities will include project management and engagement execution: managing the day-to-day tasks of projects and serving as a principal contact with client personnel; leading diligence meetings; directing the efforts of Associates and Financial Analysts to perform financial analyses and prepare client deliverables; presenting deliverables both internally and externally to our clients
In addition, the Vice President position is expected to network with prospects to build revenue producing relationships and assist and drive other business development events and strategic initiatives.Responsibilities:Lead business and financial due diligenceConduct industry, competitor, and sub-sector researchPerform complex financial analyses including valuation utilizing methods including comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow analysisSupervise and review deliverables on client engagements supporting advice and opinionsProject management - including day to day tasks and coordination with clients on project updates and deadlinesPrepare pitch materials and new proposals to clientsCreative content development, thought leadership and collaboration across service linesAssist in business development initiativesBuild relationships and maintain direct contact with current and prospective clientsBasic Requirements:An undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field6-10 years of investment banking, valuation or related experience or MBA plus 3-6 years of relevant experienceStrong accounting, finance, financial modeling and analytical abilitiesPreferred Requirements:Ability to lead projects and client meetingsExperience supervising associates and analysts on client engagementsStrong qualitative and quantitative research skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsIntellectual curiosity and a results-driven professionalA very strong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environmentAbility to work independently and a good team playerEntrepreneurial attitude: desire and willingness to support a growing practice and contribute across the full suite of offeringsSalary RangeHoulihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation
