Vice President, Drug Safety

Our long-term commercial pharmaceutical client is looking to add a Vice President, Global Drug Safety to their team. In addition to the US / EU approval, they have a robust pipeline of clinical trials for both hematologic and solid tumor cancers.

Reporting into the CMO, you’ll have 4 direct reports and the potential to add another Q1. Based in NJ, this person can be onsite 1x week or 1x month, but they prefer someone EST as they will also be collaborating with teams in Europe.

Responsibilities:

·       Oversee all Drug Safety activities and deliverables including providing operational and medical oversight of safety activities for all products to ensure regulatory requirements are met.

·       Drive risk management strategies for all drugs in development and post approval and ensure establishment and maintenance of core safety information during each product’s lifecycle.

·       Supervise and mentor the Drug Safety Department staff and collaborate with other department heads across the organization.

Requirements:

·       MD

·       10+ years of drug development / drug safety / pharmacovigilance

·       Experience with Hematology studies

·       Leadership experience

·       Willing to be hands on and collaborate cross-functionally

 

Package:

 ·       $350 - $400K base

·       30% bonus

Pay Details: $350,000.00 to $400,000.00 per year
