- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or similar field
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of 5 years of HR experience in manufacturing and/or with proven abilities in leading best in class people strategies in a manufacturing environment.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience leading progressive HR Leaders.

- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization. Understands key business drivers and risks and how HR strategies & talent management should be aligned to support business objectives.
- Strong knowledge of global labor relations and experience in both union and non-union manufacturing operations.
- Ability to assess HR implications of business strategies and priorities and utilize data and reporting to drive strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate plans into phased actions.
- Able and willing to travel globally and domestically 25-50%.

- This is a hands-on position, requiring a sense of urgency, accuracy and attention to detail. A "can-do" attitude is a must to be successful in this role.

Salary Range: The estimated annual base salary for this position is $280,000-350,000. Actual base salary will be dependent on the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications. This role is eligible for other forms of compensation, including an annual performance bonus and annual equity award.Basic Qualifications:

HFS has over two dozen manufacturing plants and distribution centers throughout the US, EU, Mexico, Australia and Asia. This role is responsible for leading HR teams that partner with employees and managers across these sites, to coach, support, influence, and enable these teams to effectively deliver their people plans.
The VP, HR serves as a consultant to the HFS leadership team leading talent management, succession planning, learning & development, change management, workforce planning and engagement initiatives. Integral to the role's success will be managing human resources related issues and providing support to business leaders, plant, and human resources managers, and to serve as a change manager. We're seeking a candidate that finds the challenges of a manufacturing environment exciting - looking at innovative labor models, analyzing turnover data to address root causes, and keeping diversity, equity, and inclusion at the forefront, are top priorities.
Based in Torrance, California, this executive will also serve on the Howmet HR Leadership Team with the CHRO, while also partnering with the HFS Leadership Team, and its President.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partners with HFS executives to drive talent strategies, plans and organizational capabilities; a strategic partnership to evolve a culture of accountability, high performance and organizational efficiencies that improve operational performance and support growth.
- Develops HR plan to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs to fill the identified gaps. Ensures the organization has suitable access to talent to ensure future business growth and success.
- Advances talent and culture initiatives through consultation and relationship building, while ensuring alignment to Operations & Supply Chain strategies.
- Supports, develops, engages and retains talent by creating, implementing and maintaining talent management solutions that brings manufacturing associate EVP to life and offers an inclusive culture and work environment (engagement, succession planning, learning and development, assessment, planning).
- Creates an experience-based talent culture across the HFS business in aspects of talent attraction, development, improving organizational health and driving high performance culture.
- Drives diversity and inclusion strategies to embrace applicants and people of all backgrounds and to support the full development and high performance of all our people in an inclusive environment.
- Oversees the leadership & development strategy and solutions that support a growth mindset culture, inclusive of onboarding and technical training.
