Position: Vice President of Infrastructure
The Vice President of Infrastructure will lead the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of all infrastructure systems, including networks, servers, data centers, SaaS, and IaaS. This individual will serve as the main point of contact for infrastructure-related services, with a focus on ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role starts as an individual contributor and reports directly to the Chief Information Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
The Vice President of Infrastructure will lead the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of all infrastructure systems, including networks, servers, data centers, SaaS, and IaaS. This individual will serve as the main point of contact for infrastructure-related services, with a focus on ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role starts as an individual contributor and reports directly to the Chief Information Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management: Administer, maintain, and enhance infrastructure systems to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
- Cloud Migration: Lead the transition from on-premise infrastructure to cloud solutions with a goal of 100% cloud-based applications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, business stakeholders, and third-party providers to align infrastructure systems with business objectives.
- Project Oversight: Manage multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously, ensuring clear communication, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards.
- Licensing & Cost Management: Oversee infrastructure licensing, subscriptions, and vendor relations, focusing on cost-efficiency.
- Security & Compliance: Stay current on cybersecurity trends and regulatory requirements, implementing best practices to secure the environment.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain SOPs, policies, service-level agreements, and knowledge bases.
- On-Call Support: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 operational support.
- Cloud Expertise: Proven experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure, with a focus on cloud migrations.
- Infrastructure Knowledge: Strong background in managing complex environments, including systems and network administration, IaaS, and architecture.
- Project Management: Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and working with vendors, managed service providers, and value-added resellers (VARs).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Security Focus: Strong passion for cybersecurity, with knowledge of frameworks such as CIS, NIST, PCI, and SASE.
- Leadership: Ability to lead initiatives, manage teams, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience migrating infrastructure from on-premise to the cloud.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet products (firewalls, switches, SD-WAN, VPN, ZTNA).
- Experience with Microsoft 365 endpoint features (Intune, Autopilot, Windows Hello).
- Certifications in Microsoft 365, Azure, CISSP, or CISM.
- Experience managing projects in Jira and documentation in Confluence.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including networks, servers, and virtualization.
- 5+ years of experience with cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure) and disaster recovery.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Fortinet switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Relevant certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA) are preferred.
- Finance industry experience and working in mid-sized companies (200+ employees) are a plus.
