Make a difference as a Vice President of Accounting
As the Vice President of Accounting at Christian Community Credit Union, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and directing all accounting activities in adherence to GAAP. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding the Accounting Staff to successfully complete their assigned tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the day-to-day maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers. You will spearhead the preparation of financial statements, prepare tax and regulatory filings, and control Accounting policies and procedures to uphold the financial integrity of the organization.

To excel in the role of Vice President of Accounting at Christian Community Credit Union, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience. A minimum of five years of general accounting experience is required, along with proficiency in word processing (Word) and spreadsheets (intermediate level Excel). Preferred qualifications include CPA, CFA, or other specialized certifications, as well as a minimum of two years of supervisory experience. Experience working with third-party examiners, auditors, and regulators, particularly in the financial industry, is beneficial. Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, effective communication abilities, and proficient typing and 10-key skills are essential for success in this position.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related area or equivalent knowledge & experience required
- Minimum five years of general accounting experience required
- Knowledge of word processing (Word required) and spreadsheets (intermediate level Excel required)
- CPA, CFA, or other specialized certification preferred
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience preferred

- Experience in accounting with a financial institution preferred
