Apple Rehab, one of Connecticut’s largest skilled nursing companies, is seeking a Vice President of Accounts Receivable and Revenue Management to lead and oversee collections for 20 skilled nursing facilities. This critical role involves managing all aspects of accounts receivable, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, driving cash flow, and optimizing collections processes across our network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Oversight: Lead a team responsible for accounts receivable, billing, and collections, ensuring timely and accurate revenue capture for all 20 skilled nursing facilities.
- Collections & Cash Flow: Implement strategies to maximize cash collections and minimize overdue accounts, collaborating closely with internal teams to achieve financial targets.
- Revenue Management: Oversee revenue cycle operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, payer contracts, and timely billing processes.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve processes to increase efficiency in collections and revenue management while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide comprehensive financial reports on accounts receivable, including aging analysis, cash flow forecasts, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership.
- Collaboration: Work closely with clinical, administrative, and financial teams to align revenue cycle management with overall operational goals, addressing challenges promptly and efficiently.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all billing and collections processes comply with state and federal regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounts receivable management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the healthcare or skilled nursing industry.
- Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and managed care reimbursement processes.
- Proven track record of driving improvements in accounts receivable and revenue cycle management.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to develop and present detailed financial reports and forecasts.
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to mentor and lead a high-performing team.
- Proficiency with financial and billing software systems.
