Position Summary
This position will build close working relationships with major customers and stakeholders to ensure the renewal of existing business and the generation of new business. This role will report to the Regional President and be part of the North America Senior Leadership Team and dotted line to the Global CFO and part of the Finance Leadership Team. You will own, build strategy and implement improvements to increase the effectiveness and/or efficiency of the control systems reviewed and identify and evaluate emerging areas of operational and organizational risk as well as oversee and monitor all interactions with Finance.
Job Responsibilities
- Financial Leader for all M&A within North America and support the Regional President through all M&A activities.
- Review policy, procedures, controls, and associated test plans for adequacy of design, ensuring that the personnel, frequency, and system are appropriate to mitigate identified risks within the process
- Identify control and operating weaknesses and develop recommendations to address for divisions and operations of the company focusing on financial, operational or information technology areas
- Influential key leader of the North Americas Senior Leadership team & the key business partner to the HR Lead, President and Operations VP.
- You will evaluate and make improvements to our accounting processes
- Drive Commercial & Operational Excellence throughout the business using performance data as appropriate to ensure expected results are delivered and margins maximized.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing all direct reports.
- Contribute to new product development strategy and wider Leviat projects.
- Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements and CRH Group policies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, ideally with Post grad management qualification.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Strong ERP experience
- Strong analytical and management skills
- Proven commercial experience including customer relationship management; pricing; and negotiation.
- Strong track record leading an international B2B of an appropriate size and complexity
- Understanding of the manufacture and supply of highly engineered products for construction
- Growth-oriented, with an ability to partner the business to deliver both organic growth and growth through acquisition
- Works effectively within a matrix structure and benefits from its scale & breadth: Proven ability to manage workflows with multiple stakeholders
- Places a high priority on building effective management teams by attracting, developing, coaching/mentoring and retaining talent.
- Excellent communication skills, across all levels
- Fluent in English
- Some international travel is a requirement of this role
