Empowered Staffing is partnered with a rapidly growing healthcare organization that owns and operates skilled nursing facilities throughout Illinois. Due to growth, the company is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Finance to join their team in Skokie and be a key player on the Executive team.
As the VP of Finance, you’ll strategically lead financial planning and reporting, revenue cycle, cash management, and budgeting functions, providing analytical insights as the company continues to scale and acquire more locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the financial operations of the organization, including oversight of accounting, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, and revenue cycle management.
Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company’s growth and operational goals.
Oversee the annual budgeting process and develop accurate financial forecasts. Monitor financial performance against the budget and identify variances for corrective actions.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Present financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the executive team and board of directors.
Optimize the revenue cycle process to ensure timely billing and collections, reducing days in accounts receivable and improving cash flow.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement policies. Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect the organization’s assets.
Support and lead financial due diligence, valuation, and integration efforts for potential acquisitions and expansions.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial leadership roles in the skilled nursing industry.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare financial management, including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement.
Proven track record in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and integration in the healthcare sector.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership.
Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
