VICE PRESIDENT OF MANAGED CARE CONTRACTING AND RELATIONSHIPS

CareStar, Inc. is accepting applicants for a Vice President of Managed Care Contracting and Relationships. The Vice President of Managed Care Contracting and Relationships, is responsible for evaluating, negotiating, and securing financially and administratively favorable managed care contracts with new and existing health plans/managed care organizations, as well as being responsible for representing the interests of CareStar in discussions and relationships related to managed care and all aspects of the day-to-day operations of managed care, including provider contract services, negotiations, grievances/appeals, inquiries/complaints for the commercial and government-sponsored business segments.
THE POSITION
CareStar is looking for a motivated individual who:

- Maintains confidentiality as related to patient information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense.
- Follows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar, Inc.
- Develops, communicates and executes strategy for the development of current and prospective business.
- Source new clients by developing networks and independently identifying and developing relevant resources for sales, managed care and business development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with health care professionals, managed care personnel, key decision makers and management of our customers and prospective customers as a trusted, reliable, business partner.
- Build financial models and analysis on managed care contracts.
- Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by developing and implementing marketing strategies, analyzing trends and results.
- Work towards sales and revenue goals as established in partnership with the President
- Presents monthly reports on productivity and performance as requested by the President.
- Work closely with Company Executives to develop and communicate Services and Programs to offer and sell to Managed Care Organizations.
- Develop creative outreach strategies to attract and retain Manage Care Organization clients.
- Schedules and attends sales meetings, following up on productivity and leads, developing industry relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Collaborate with members of the CareStar Team to ensure an excellent client experience across all client interactions from needs assessment through delivery and follow up.
- Works with other members of the Executive Management Team and Senior Management to provide strategic planning information for the organization.
- Up to 30% travel to customer and potential customer site(s).
- Participates in sales presentations, RFPs, RFIs and other proposals to drive new and expanded business with clients.
- Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, healthcare administration, nursing or related field.
- Master's Degree is desirable.
- Prior track record of business success, including experience at the executive level, preferably ten (10) years or more total experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of Managed Care Operations or Payor Relations.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, sales and managed care contract negotiation.
- Proven track record of generating revenue growth.
- Proven ability to conduct data analytics and financial modeling of managed care contracts.
- Proven ability to articulate the Company’s value proposition and product differentiators.
- Strong advocate and proponent of CareStar Mission and Values.
- Familiarity with suite of Microsoft Office programs.
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance as required by State law.
- Ability to travel via multiple modes of transportation, including, but not limited to, plane and car.
