Vice President of Transportation and Logistics
Reporting directly to Divert’s Chief Operating Officer, this role will be responsible for the strategy and execution of the network-wide supply chain and logistics program. This role will build upon the current foundation to drive more efficient and effective supply chain and logistics between our 13 nationwide facilities and our 50+ customer distribution centers, dozens of outlets and hundreds of transportation assets. Improving the key performance of our returnable containers, driving higher levels of accountability and moving Divert toward a world-class supply chain function in alignment with our objectives and 3-yr roadmap.
What You’ll Do:

Create a strategy to drive world-class tools and processes around Transportation related to all verticals (Retail, Industrials and Food Service)

Refine and execute a Sales, Inventory & Ops Planning (SIOP) process, inclusive of tactical weekly views, as well as long-term views to address opportunities for customer launches, plant and transportation capacities and develop plans to break through existing constraints

Implement a Transportation Management System (TMS) to effectively manage our assets, personnel and associated schedules/routes in the most efficient manner

Track leading indicators and standard KPIs to measure operational success, and analyze them to develop action plans for continuous improvement

Own all processes/systems from out facility’s docks through customer distribution centers (DCs), liaise between Commercial Teams (i.e. the processes from customer DCs through customer stores) and Divert Operations. Develop strong relationships with these internal functional teams

Manage workflow, escalations and effectively delegate across management teams (Transportation, Sales, Field Service, and Plant Management)

Obtain a comprehensive understanding of customer operations to identify business opportunities with wasted food and troubleshoot Divert integration issues and opportunities

Lead point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for customer operations that must escalate above account managers

Organize documentation, systems, onboarding processes and procedures

Support the contracting, road-mapping and onboarding of new customers

Ensuring the customer receives a high level of service from all Diverters, protecting the value of food for the planet, while solving for the customer’s pain points
What You’ll Need:
-
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program, preferably with a focus in Business, Operations, Engineering or Supply Chain

Must have demonstrated experience refining and driving an SIOP Process.

10+ years experience in a related role, include 5+ directly leading Supply Chain and/or Logistics Operations

Strong organizational and leadership skills

Strategic acumen and ability to translate to an executable plan

Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage to ELT and direct/indirect reports

Communicate written and oral data/information to diverse audiences
