About the Job
Summary
The objective of this position is to manage the execution of new issues in the public bond markets. The role
serves as the interface between Debt Capital Markets (origination) and the Sales & Trading teams
(distribution), gathering market information to keep clients updated on market trends, relative value across
bond markets and new issue pricing. Facilitates medium-term note transactions driven by investor reverse
inquiry (incoming potential demand from investors).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with Banking and Debt Capital Markets to identify new clients and broaden/strengthen existing
relationships as they look to understand and gain access to the financial markets in a broad array of
products.
• Responsible for giving advice on pricing, target investors and the strategy required to raise the
amount of money that the issuer would like.
• Control of the book build process, liaising with the fixed income sales force to ensure that investors
submit orders into the book.
• Provides on-going advice on how and when to change the price guidance, when to close the books
and at what level to set the final price.
• Advise on the final issue size and, for an oversubscribed transaction, how many bonds to allocate to
each investor.
• Successfully interact as required with DCM, sales and trading, compliance, legal and derivatives and
back office professionals
• Contribute to the preparation of marketing materials and documents
• Oversee the syndicate team responsible for writing trade tickets, coordinating and aggregating
‘market hedges'.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in economics, Finance, Math or related field is required. Five years of previous work
experience in Fixed Income Sales & Trading, Debt Capital Markets, or Banking is required.
Preferred Skill(s)
Knowledge of accounting, finance and general business performance measures.
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.).
