About the Job
The Vice President of Product Line Management will lead a team of product managers, engineers, and marketers, overseeing the development, launch, and growth of our telecommunication transmission products. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing the product strategy and roadmap for the telecommunication transmission business, aligning with the company's vision, mission, and goals
- Managing the product lifecycle from ideation to delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction
- Leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, such as sales, engineering, operations, finance, legal, and partners
- Conducting market research and competitive analysis, identifying customer needs and pain points, and translating them into product requirements and features
- Defining and tracking key performance indicators and metrics, evaluating the product performance and user feedback, and making data-driven decisions to optimize the product value and user experience
- Communicating the product vision, value proposition, and roadmap to internal and external audiences, including senior management, sales, customers, and partners
- Mentoring, coaching, and developing the product line management team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity
Qualifications Include:
- M.S. or Ph.D. in a science or engineering field. MBA is a plus.
- At least 15 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of launching and scaling successful products.
- Demonstrated track record of managing a business or product line with > $100M annual revenue.
- Strong technical background and ability to communicate effectively with engineers, designers, and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a proven ability to integrate and lead diverse corporate cultures while delivering results.
- Experience in managing the development, protection, and leverage of a large and broad IP Portfolio that includes Patents and Trade Secrets.
- Experience in Long-Range Business Planning and Forecasting with a demonstrated track record of achieving forecasted and budgeted results.
- Expertise in user research, data analysis, and product strategy.
- Passionate about technology, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
- Deep knowledge of the Fiber Optic Telecommunications Industry and market.
- Strong organizational, human resource management, and planning skills.
- International business experience.
- Experience in Technology Roadmapping, Product Roadmapping, and Product Strategy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile, and dynamic environment, perform under stress, and be a team player.
Working conditions
Remote work is possible but on site is preferred.
