Vice President - Purchasing - Downers Grove, IL
Position Highlights:
- Full-Time
- Monday – Friday; 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Primary Location: Hybrid/Downers Grove, IL
- Travel: In office as needed.

The VP of Purchasing will:
- Manage a $800 million dollar budget for Pharmacy, capital expenditures and other inventory.
- Provide strategic direction to the purchasing team including: prioritizing activities, goal setting, program development and communication
- Builds and maintains vendor relationships for suppliers of materials and services while regularly evaluating the value they bring to the company and how that value can be improved.
- Explore sourcing alternatives and new products and services that are aligned with our purchasing strategy.
- Communicate consistently and effectively with internal and external partners to develop and maintain programs
- Building a Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) to help transform Procurement, and also support broader transformation of the value chain and the enterprise. Reduces overall product, service, and process cost to the company; establishes and enforces corporate standardization initiatives while maintaining the highest levels of quality.
- Plays a direct role in procurement and service activities related to new construction projects.
- Provide guidance and direction to staff, including setting performance standards, monitoring and evaluating performance
- Obtains and maintains credentialing and licensure for all Duly pharmacy sites.
- Develop policy and procedure related to pharmaceuticals and reimbursement; business and personnel management
- Responsible for identifying future pharmaceutical business opportunities throughout Duly.
- Assessing work against expected outcomes: Productivity, quality, timeliness. Tracks trends and outcomes.
- Bachlor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Pharmacy, Health Administration, Managment, or Finance.
- Minimum of 10 years of senior procurement management experience with responsibiity for setting procurement strategy.
- Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills required.
- superior organization, development, workforce planning, mentor, and motivational skills required.
- proficient in relevant computer skills and applications.
- thorough knowldge of HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory policies and requirements.
- Working knowledge of finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting, cost management, financial accounting, treasury, risk management, etc.
- Demonstrated solid working knowlege of Microsoft Applications, including Wod & Excel including spreadsheets.
