We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Sanctions Operations Quality Assurance Lead to join our Global Payments and Treasury Services Operations team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA, and will work a Hybrid schedule (3 days per week in-office required).
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead and manage screening alert teams composed of QA team leads and QA analysts by providing leadership, guidance, and support, ensuring their professional development and growth.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing.
- Oversee staffing and resource allocation by conducting ongoing capacity planning to meet operational needs and optimize team performance.
- Collaborate with Sanctions Operations managers to address identified QA errors and execute remediation activities
- Coordinate and execute remediation activities in collaboration with Sanctions Operations managers to resolve identified issues effectively.
- Ensure timely and effective resolution of QA errors, minimizing impact on operations and maintaining quality standards.
- Utilize QA data to identify alert review process issues and conduct root cause analysis for remediation
- Collaborate with Sanctions Operations managers to conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying causes of process issues.
- Collaborate closely with Core Processor teams to understand and address QA findings.
- Develop and implement remediation plans to address identified issues, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the alert review process.
- Oversee the QA function to ensure compliance with defined deadlines, quality standards, and QA policies and procedures.
- Implement quality control measures to monitor and assess the effectiveness of the QA process.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the overall QA function.
- Oversee new hire, yearly, and ad-hoc QA training
- Function as the final decision-maker in cases of disagreement between QA Analysts and QA Team Leads regarding the disposition of QA reviews.
- Present to Bank senior leadership on the state of the QA function.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 5-7 years of total work experience preferred with 0-1 years management experience preferred.
- Financial crime-related alert review and team lead experience highly preferred
- Proven experience in effective communication with upper management, delivering clear and concise reports on activities, findings, and progress.
- Ability to manage high-stress feedback from stakeholders, maintaining composure and professionalism while addressing concerns and implementing necessary corrective actions.
- Demonstrated capacity to prioritize and promptly respond to urgent business needs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and upholding quality standards.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and non-verbal to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Ability to work across organizational lines and proactively problem solve with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time management skills
- Project management experience with proven ability to oversee multiple team members simultaneously
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Proficiency using vendor management and risk management software or tools
- Proven decision making ability
